The Birthday Bug
The funk I mentioned in my last blog post turned out to be a full-blown birthday illness (a.k.a. "The Birthday Bug"), which I seem to catch nearly every year on--or dangerously near--my birthday. I fought it with all the gumption I could muster and was able to enjoy my weekend thanks to my wonderful family and darling boyfriend. But, now that the weekend is over I have taken to the couch and have only gotten up once to shower before returning to spend the rest of my day slightly comatose. So, last night I was a depressing sight as I sat dabbing at my red chapped nose watching all the beautiful dressed celebrities at the Academy Awards. Though I looked a mess, this Matters of Leisure silk robe could have made me feel a little more flu season chic.
Alas, as I donned my sweats and t-shirt, I loved what I saw on the red carpet. Here are my best dressed picks.
Ryan Reynolds in Tom Ford - I couldn't find a full photo online but his Tom Ford 1930s style suite was absolutely delish. I mean.
Amanda Seyfried in Armani Prive was perfection. She looked absolutely flawless from head to toe. I loved the makeup, jewlery, perfectly polished hair, everything. Love.

A Few of My Favorite Things
Today, I am not feeling so hot. The gym kicked my butt this morning and I have been feeling a bit less than stellar ever since. In an effort to get a bit of pep back in my step before a pre-birthday dinner tonight (that's right, it's my birthday tomorrow!) I have made my lucky parents and boyfriend a very ambitious birthday list. HA! Here are a few of my favorite things!
