Just Finished Reading...

It was absolutely captivating. I felt like I ran along side the characters throughout the story and was so sad when I closed my window to their world on the last page. It is absolutely one of the best works of fiction I have read in a long time. It has received two thumbs up from me!

Loving Lilly

Growing up a Florida girl I do believe it is impossible for me not to love Lilly Pulitzer. I know my friend Preppy Panache agrees with that wholeheartedly. I was so thrilled to see Lilly's new spring line in all its preppy, color popping glory. I would love to own nearly every dress that befell my little blue eyes, not to mention the sandals, coverups, and suits that a trip to the beach just cannot do without. Here are a few of my faves.

TDF with a pair of white skinny jeans, these sandals, pearl earrings, and dinner on the beach.

I love empire waist dresses. Make it a mini and cut it from fabric in a shade of blue and we have a MUST in my book. I think Lilly and I have fashion psychosis because I can't imagine wearing it with any other shoe and handbag than the ones she recommends.

Adelson Shift Gold Lace
At first I thought I would opt for this dress in the white version but the more I look at it in pink salmon the more I realize I just cannot pass it by. How perfect would this be for Easter? Just throw on some gold ballet flats--or heels if you are so inclined--and you will give the Easter Brunch at the country club a run for their money.

Okay, I need this coverup and I am not going to the beach again until I have it. I realize this is an extreme statement but the entire time I am listening to the waves crash all I will be able to think about is how chic I would look wearing it as I shuffle across the sand carrying my equally chic straw bag. I don't think I can handle that type of "what if" situation.

I mean, duh. Love a bandeau and love the pink and green (Limeade Coral Me Crazy) print. Oh summer, how I love you. Please come to play soon.

xoxo,
PWA

RentTheRunway

For those of you who are unaware, this is the greatest concept since above-the-knee hemlines. Think Bag Borrow or Steal but for clothes. Over the past year I have bought one too many cocktail dresses that have all been worn a grand total of one time. I have a thing about overwearing dresses. This Web site was the answer to my dreams. For my next event I am definitely going to log on and rent. The best part is they allow you to choose two dress sizes to have sent at no additional charge, just in case. I am definitely thinking the Lela Rose number is a great birthday option for moi.

Oh My Gracious

... is what I said when I first saw this necklace. J.Crew has done it again. I die. Literally, call the medics.

She Said Yes to the Dress

My apologies for my speckled new-post appearances. Things have been a bit crazy as of late. I will not bore you with those details but I am happy to announce that the best friend has found her wedding dress. Being in a bridal salon and experiencing all the excitement of her upcoming nuptials has put me in a decidedly bridal type of mood. So, here are a few of my favorite style-setting brides.

Marie Claire Fashion Find

Cheap and chic... yes, please!! I happened upon this romper yesterday while flipping through the January issue of Marie Claire. It was on a page entitled: Look Like a Million for Under $100. I would love it with a pair of wedge sandals, lots of bracelets, and a chunky necklace.

J.Crew New Collection

I would like to own and wear this outfit on a regular basis:

Fenton-Fallon for J.Crew Carrington crystal bow necklace = AMAZING. I would probably try and incorporate it into any outfit... including the Friday morning tennis outfit complete with sweaty brow and messy hair. My color of choice is the dark charcoal that is shown here.

Then I'll layer this Ruffled gamine jacket in desert rose.
(style note: It will be kept open to show sparkly shorts!!)

These Cleo platform sandals in sienna brown on my feet because I love a wedge with shorts.

And to top it off, this Metallic Beacon purse in pale gold slung on my shoulder.
